Olympics Done and Dusted…

I can’t believe it’s all over. When I first started racing skier cross I had one goal in mind and that was to compete at the Olympic Games. It’s been one hell of a journey getting to these games and now I can finally call myself an Olympian.

It has been the most incredible three weeks of my life, from walking in the opening ceremony to then deliver the performance of a lifetime I couldn’t be more proud to be an Australian Olympian.

Went to the Vancouver aquarium and checked out the Baluga Whale and dolphins. Unbelievable!!!

I think the highlight of the games came on my last day though. I won the lottery so to speak and was given tickets to the Gold Medal hockey match between USA and Canada. It will go down in history as one of the best games ever played with the final goal being scored in overtime. It was unbelievable experience to witness the pinnacle of the Olympic spirit and a great way to finish my Olympic campaign.

I’m on a plane to Europe at the moment to finish the last three world cups of the season, one in Sweden and two in Switzerland. I was really keen to head home after the Olympics but after my recent success I felt it was an opportunity to good to pass up.
